In the fall of 2017 I briefly met Tiffany at the East Side Culture Crawl, she was exhibiting her own work and collaborating on another large scale art installation. The next time we got together was to discuss a lifestyle photo session about Tiffany and her contemporary fine art. We took photographs at her art studio, which she is sharing with a few local artists, on a foggy morning and the white blanket covering the city was exactly what I wanted. The weather it added a little bi of mystery and a softly diffused light, Parker studios were pretty empty in the midst of the holidays so it was calm and serene. Tiffany painted and made a couple sketches, it was fascinating to see her work. Tiffany is very talented, her style has changed throughout her artistic journey but the level of skill and variety of brush strokes is impressive. Here are some of my favourite portraits from our session.
I absolutely love art in every form and it makes my heart full to work and collaborate with talented, passionate artists. Rebecca and I met at social gatherings years ago and she always had an air of elegance and feminine energy about her, when she contacted me to photograph her collection of silks I could barely wait. RLKD Silk designs are chic and modern, simple and elegant – a designer by training, Rebecca decided to create her own line of luxury silks. We invited another talented darling, Ivy, my long-time client and a good friend, her noble face perfectly suited for the mood of this collection. It was a golden afternoon, the autumn leaves were falling at the slightest whisper of wind, the low sun rays were giving just the right amount of light, showcasing silks against skin in the perfect way. Working with these ladies made me feel like this is what I’m meant to do, we shared our unique passions in the most beautiful way. I look forward to the new collection by RLKD Silks and the new pop-up shop. Keep in touch with Rebecca and Ivy . Here are my favourite portraits.
Every time Jihan comes to Vancouver, we both try to get together for a shoot, this October was no exception. We rented a beautiful loft in the heart of Railtown on a gorgeous sunny day, Jihan was here for a week and we were both thrilled to reunite and create. She brought a number of outfits sourced at the local thrift store and some lingerie so graciously provided by Curvy Intimates. The space had plenty of window light, high ceilings and a funky spiral staircase, which allowed us to create different feel and look for the photo collection. Working with models like Jihan is always a pleasure, she knows her body and exudes confidence no matter what she is wearing. We created sultry and fabulous portraits, some of which are a little too sexy for her social media. Follow Jinan and her modelling journey as a plus size model. Here are my favourites.
Miss L.L. seemed dreamy and very stylish from the first moment we met, turned out we had many friends in common but our paths had not crossed before. She is an architect and wanted to do an elegant photo session with a funky feel, sensuality and authenticity. We rented a space with exposed brick and plain walls, I think the absence of furniture draws the attention to the subject. There was natural light, music and a set of simple wardrobe classics that make any girl feel confident and at ease. Possibly a little champagne accompanied our photoshoot. An emotional and personal journey with character is how I would describe our project. Here are selected photographs.

Genevieve and I have the best time at photoshoots, she is an actress and I think it gives her a unique ability to show many characters and explore moods with ease. As usual, we chose to do a photoshoot at sunrise, by the beach, it seems to be the theme through our creative journey. Anastasia, bless her heart, was up and ready to prep Genevieve at 4am, she is a talented make up artist and a total darling. We did a dewy look with soft tones for the golden dress and an very feminine look. Vancouver is incredibly picturesque, no matter where you are. These photos were taken at English Bay.

Sasha is a professional model and we first met on instagram, she inquired about a stylist and wardrobe, which intimidated me at first but I went for it. My co-worker drove us to the Lighthouse Park on a gorgeous sunny afternoon and it was perfect. Weekdays aren’t so busy so we had enough time and privacy to comfortably do our photos. Sasha is a total pro and a sweetheart, I swear, her every move and expression were just flawless. We got along wonderfully and it felt like we’ve known each other forever. I follow her modelling career online, so should you – Sasha Bilida . Photography and styling by yours truly. Wardrobe: Free People.

If you want to see her glow, ask about what she loves, find out what she is passionate about. My recent muse is a dancer, loves fitness, she is into acting and fashion as well – we explored all of the above and she absolutely rocked her shoot in Vancouver studio! Miss J. loves to challenge herself with fitness goals, her will power is both impressive and inspiring.
We kept running out of time during this boudoir session and even days after I still have so many ideas! I hope we get to create more editorial and fine art photography in the future.
Summertime brought me a beautiful present of meeting Sarah – her internal light and sweet personality is so easy to photograph. We planned a very unique, “game of thrones”, warrior princess photoshoot outdoors and it could have been better! Her fiancé came along to protect us while we pranced around rocks, trees and water at sunrise. We were contemplating the weather and it all worked out just right. Sarah is actually unaware of her incredible beauty, well she was, until our project! I feel so honored to hear her story and to capture her strength, fierce and empowered beauty.
Vancouver has so many picturesque locations, here is Whytecliff Park with its magical cliffs and rich natural elements so suitable for our story. Happy Birthday sweet Sarah!
It is 2015 and technology is taking over our lives, but at the same time, we meet so many interesting people through the endless ocean of content readily available online! This July I met a talented young actress on Instagram and we had a fantastic photoshoot at sunrise. Vancouver is simply stunning in the summer mornings with clear skies and sunshine. Not only we had similar vision for a photoshoot, Genevieve and I were on the same page from the very first coffee meeting! As an actress, she has such a range of emotions and personalities, we have a very diverse series of photo and I couldn’t be happier! I feel so fortunate to have had a chance to photograph her. Here is a first few photos from our summer session by the ocean.
Hello summer and all the beautiful sunsets, sunrises, and my muses – it really doesn’t get any better than this! Here is my new friend, I say friend after meeting her only three time because Jihan is just like that. You fall in love with her personality at the first conversation! She is full of life and light, she laughs easily and is a stunning diva without being a diva. If you know what I mean! We did a session in June and this girl can run to the beach and still look like a Goddess emerging from the waters. What a pleasure to work with such a fine woman – so confident, so feminine, so bright! Until we meet again, beautiful!

I have been following the work of this beautiful and incredibly talented woman for a few years, and dreaming of photographing her since I first saw her portraits at an art exhibit. This spring we finally had a chance to create together and it was wonderful. What I learned from her, to my surprise, is that each shoot is a journey for her as much as it is for the photographer. Her natural elegance and artful posing was a treat to photograph. I saw how vulnerable and personal she is, how human and real, true to herself she was during our shoot. Miss J had told me many stories that were the foundation of our photographic journey together and the results are more stunning that I could ever imagine. Here are a few photographs from our first session, more will be displayed in the exhibit in October 2015.
I am filled with gratitude for this chance to work together and to witness the elegance and courage of this gorgeous woman.
